
River District Association Art Gallery Open House

On Saturday, August 23 rd five art galleries located within Rockford’s River District will be
hosting an open house to showcase their unique environment and exclusive collections.
Attendees are welcome to visit 27 Aluna, 317 Art Collaborative, JR Kortman Center for
Design, Kith & Kin, and the Rockford Art Museum from 12-3pm at no cost!

27 Aluna – 124 N. Main Street
A modern Filipino and American restaurant that offer Brunch and Dinner in Rockford,
Illinois, celebrated as the city’s first and only Filipino dining destination. Chef Patrick
Alberto and his team combines a fusion of Filipino-inspired, American, and European

317 Art Collaborative – 317 Market Street
We are a Non-Profit Organization housing a group of working artists from the Rockford
area. We occupy a 100-year-old historic landmark building in downtown Rockford,
Illinois. We are an innovative contemporary art gallery and working artists’ studios. We
hold classes for all ages, are a live music venue and host multi-disciplinary community

JR Kortman Center for Design – 107 N. Main Street
J. R. Kortman Center, located on the first floor, presents intriguing objects from around
the world with an emphasis on great design. Alessi of Italy is one of the featured lines,
along with art glass, jewelry, toys, folk art…and other fascinating home and personal
accessories. The second floor is the Kortman Gallery with fine art exhibitions that
change every 6 to 8 weeks presenting the works of local, regional, and even

Kith & Kin – 510 E. State Street
Located in the heart of Downtown Rockford, Illinois, Kith and Kin Art Collective was
created by owner, Sandi Kohn. This creative collaborative features artists Drew Helge,

Rockford Art Museum has been enriching the quality of life in the Rockford Region since
1913 through a permanent collection, frequent exhibitions and lifelong education. More
