Join tour guide Gary Anderson and Katie’s Cup for a bike tour at  Katie’s Cup, 502 7th Street

The tour is 8 miles in length and has several hills to navigate. The tour map is attached, and you are free to leave the tour at any time if it’s too long or you have other commitments.  The tour is approximately  5.5 miles in length,  has some hills to navigate, and will be 2 hours in length.

This is an opportunity to see and discover the impact churches have had on our culture, neighborhoods, and the architecture that has anchored many of our neighborhoods for a century or more. The tour will also identify church sites that have left the old neighborhoods for new locations and what has resulted and transpired from that move. We have lost many beautiful and imposing structures and photos of those buildings will be shown at those sites.

This educational tour will feature home styles of the late Victorian period, American Four Square, Craftsman, Cape Cod, Ranch, Tudor, a carpenter’s mix of variations to those styles, and a few Lustron Steel homes.

📍Begins at  Begins at Katie’s Cup, 502 7th Street

Donations are welcome. Participants are not required to sign-up in advance. The tour is guided by knowledgeable host, Gary Anderson, AIA, Studio GWA founder.

“The purpose of these tours is to inform, educate and create a greater appreciation for the craftsmanship of these historic structures that have withstood the test of time. By exploring the businesses that once occupied them and the changes they’ve undergone, we gain insight into our past to better understand the present and make more informed decisions for the future,” said Gary Anderson, AIA, Studio GWA founder.
