ROCKFORD, Illinois – The River District Association is pleased to announce Nathan Bevineau and Danielle Tumilowicz have joined the River District Association Board of Directors.  Tumilowicz and Bevineau were voted unanimously into their positions and have become the tenth and eleventh members of the all-volunteer nonprofit board led by Executive Director Missy Minnaert.

“Danielle and Nathan’s willingness to get in there and help this organization even before they become official board members really impressed us,” said Minnaert.

Tumilowicz was born and raised in the River District. As a Rockford native, serving her community has always been an important priority. After graduating from DePaul University with degrees in Journalism and Public Relations, she was quick to come back to her hometown to put her skills to work. She is a morning news anchor for 23 WIFR and takes pride in being truly invested in the region she reports on.

“As a person who lives, works and plays in downtown Rockford, I’m passionate about making it a vibrant and exciting place to be,” said Tumilowicz.

Nathan Bevineau is a Rockford native who returned to the area. He is the Branch Manager at U.S. Bank in downtown Rockford. He is a career banking manager who works with both consumers and business owners on an individual basis to explore the benefits of financial banking.

“I see our community in a positive light,” said Bevineau. “I’m honored to give back and engage the River District’s residents and business owners for the betterment of downtown and beyond.”

Bevineau also served as the director of finances the day of Fall for Rockford, a free music and food festival put on by the River District Association this past September. It will be an annual event.

“To see him get in there and get involved before he was offered any title or position really impressed the board,” said Sean Muserallo, Board President. “That level of humility and commitment to the community is what we believe will help propel us as an organization and ultimately, a city.”
