ROCKFORD, IL March 2, 2018 – The River District Association announced today Andrea Cook
was unanimously voted onto the Board of Directors at a recent meeting. Cook’s two year term
begins immediately with the organization.

“Andrea brings so much marketing, public relations and event coordinating expertise to the
table, she will be invaluable to our team,” said Sean Muserallo, Board President of the River
District Association. “Not to mention she has a reputation of being kind around town and that's
the most important character we are looking for in our board.”

Cook is the Marketing & Communications Manager of the Rockford Area Convention and
Visitors Bureau. She becomes the twelfth member of the River District Association Board of
Directors with this vote. Cook will be assigned to work groups involving popular projects such
as Shop the Blocks.

“This is very exciting,” said Cook. “I look forward to working alongside the board members to
further promote the River District and our great region.”

The River District Association is also pleased to announce current board member Jarrod Hennis

someone who is in touch with technological advances is crucial for a nonprofit such as ours.”
